The Legacy of Wiley M. Elick BA, DDS

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved founder, Dr. Wiley M. Elick, BA, DDS. For over 30 years, Dr. Elick, widely known as “The Kids Dentist,” dedicated his life to providing exceptional dental care to children of all ages in California’s Central Valley. His commitment to treating every child with kindness and compassion, including those with special needs, was the cornerstone of this practice.

Dr. Elick earned his DDS degree at Loma Linda University and was a proud member of the California Dental Association, Tulare-Kings Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. His legacy of excellence and care will forever be the guiding principle of our team. We are committed to continuing his life’s work and providing the same standard of compassionate care that he championed.

Kyim Mung, MA, BS, DDS

Ever since a teenager, Dr. Mung wanted to change people’s lives through smiles. She pursued her bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene and then continued in her dental education by going through dental school at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. Dr. Mung graduated from the program in 2017 with a dual degree–her Doctorate in Dentistry and her Masters in Bioethics. She was initiated into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society for being top 10 in her graduating class. After dental school, Dr Mung worked abroad on a tiny remote island called Saipan for 2 years, where she served as a missionary dentist. It was on this little island that her love for pediatric dentistry grew. After two years of mission work, Dr. Mung returned to San Diego to pursue her passion for pediatric dentistry by going through a rigorous pediatric dental program associated with Rady Children’s Hospital.

In her spare time, Dr. Mung enjoys the outdoors. Her hobbies include hiking, playing tennis, reading self-development books, and of course, eating. She is a major foodie and is so excited to try all the different restaurants that the Central Valley has to offer!
